Classical and Modular Proportions

Classical proportions are based on the divine. Humans should strive to change for perfection.

The Modular is based on the average man. Its about how things should change to facilitate man. Its all about accessibility.

These two "rules" contrast in hierarchy-are we above or below the rule?

Perhaps this can be used to analyze the interpretation of well-being.

Is well-being a concept of trying to copy the life of gods or is it reshaping the world to accommodate us?

I think its a contrast in the significance and authority of man.

In the 8th century society life revolved around religion. How one lead their whole life determined the state of their afterlife.

The mindset of people concerned how they would earn their right in heaven. The ideal life was not on earth.

The 1960's was a period of defining identity and change to better present life.

It was all about defining society: who was included, what rights did they have and what do they need. There was a mindset of change whether it be improving social or physical comfort. The ideal life should be tailored to meet our needs.
